he latest generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup has been released in late 2020, it is the fist one based on the new 992 Spec and it is the seventh generation of the Carrera Cup family. Since her unveiling the car has always been eyed by the car lovers because of the high amount of new solutions that you can findon the vehicle: it is way more sophisticated aerodynamically, and the placement of some new parts made a lot of petrolhead dream about the car, and generate a lot of hype around the project.

Enrico Fulgenzi must have been one of them, CEO and founder of Enrico Fulgenzi Racing, who immediately started to work hard to bring a 992 at home, even if their launch in Italy is scheduled for 2022.

The car is eligible for an extremely limited amount of championships around the world, only two of them in Europe: Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and Porsche Carrera Cup France, which has been chosen by the team because of her stunning calendar: Magny-Cours, Paul Ricard, Spa Francorchamps, Monza, Barcelona and Portimao will be visited by this amazing circus, and they will give shape to an European Championship level series.

This campaign will be the fist one completely out of Italy for the Dobermann, and it’s going to be an amazing chance for Enrico Fulgenzi Racing to join such a prestigious kermesse.

Fulgenzi’s words about his new program:

“I can’t wait! Last year it’s been hard for me to not compete in my beloved Carrera Cup Italia. Now everything is passed away and we are ready to begin a new season, and I will fially be back as a driver for an entire program. I can’t wait to get back fighing for race wins. It’s even more challenging to think about this adventure, that I will live with my team, my people. I’m so glad to take this beautiful car on track, there are very few of them and we’re honored to be one of the few teams to own that, I can’t thank Porsche AG enough for the opportunity they gave us, both from myself and all the people at Enrico Fulgenzi racing. My legacy with Porsche is untouchable since 14 years ago, and I’m extremely proud to add Enrico Fulgenzi Racing project to this partnership. Amazing! I’m eager to wear my helmet, fasten my seatbelts and run out of the pits. It’s hard to make expectations for Porsche Carrera Cup France: I have a lot of experience with the Carrera Cup’s format, but I haven’t driven those tracks more than once (except Monza) and several years ago. We will be fighing world-class teams and with drivers who competed in the championship many times; while my team Enrico Fulgenzi Racing is made by youngsters with a lot of things to learn. For sure it won’t be easy at all, but nothing is easy and this is why we love this kind of challenges: diving into big deals and surprise anyone about the results, as I have always done!”.

His team mate will be Gabriele Marotta, from Monaco. You can find his words here

For sure this is going to be a big challenge, in which all the team is going to be involved with a lot of determination, will-power and focus.

Each event is going to be followed by Enrico Fulgenzi Racing’s media team, and all the races streamed live both on tv and on web streaming.
